Spanish 1st Honors Video
Part of the honors requirement for Spanish was that we would take the initiative and produce nine videos, demonstrating growth and showing ability to learn. This is the first of such videos. In this video, I talk about what we have been doing recently in class, as well as my plans for future growth.

The script, translated to English, reads, "Hi, this is my first Spanish video for the month of February. Our honors class requirement makes us make three videos to show and demonstrate growth, and this is the first of such videos. This week I will talk about what I have learned in class.
We studied geography of Latin America, learning languages, capitals, and nations, as well as analyzing maps. You can find this information on my DP. We’ve also studied conjugations, and both of these things were on our first test, which I scored very well in. I used Quizlet to study, as well as in class notes.
For this week in terms of work, we have been analyzing articles in Spanish language, taking together what words we know and collaborating with classmates to make the best translation. We also got a packet of the 500 most common Spanish words,as analyzed by usage in film and books. I was surprised to find out I had known roughly 100 of these words already, making it very easy to build off this knowledge. A lot of the words are already conjugated, so I must find the neutral tense of it. We also played Verb Wars in class, where we would compete against classmates as to who could put up the definition of a verb, conjugation, or place on a map the fastest. I did very well in regards to geography and the verbs, and can still practice with conjugation.
So this was my first Spanish honors video, talking about the growth I’ve made this past week.
Goodbye"
I think, to go off of this, I need to learn how to say numbers. I had errors recalling some words but ultimately this went much smoother than was initially expected, and in future videos I can easily demonstrate growth.
